Having run out of Epifanes varnish, I decided to finish this project with Man O'War Spar Varnish from the local hardware store. It worked well and ended up holding up in the elements.
I top coated the original, teak handrails with Epifanes Rubbed Effect Varnish in order to tone down their high gloss finish since I would be installing these in the main salon of the boat.
