The cast iron skillet would fit well in this space. The 3 quart cast iron pot would not. I would eventually stow it in the port side forward settee locker, where I would also stow canned goods when cruising.
After experimenting with various things I could stow in this space, I settled on beer koozies.
Lots of space in this otherwise wasted space.
