The cockpit needed a table, and the galley did too. Why not make a single table that serves both functions? That was the question. The series of images below illustrate how I did it. As with so many of the projects I have undertaken on this boat, this one began with a mock-up, and even after I began to create the real thing, there were many fine adjustments that needed to be made. When time permits, I'll describe how I did it, but for now these pictures should provide most able keen-eyed tool-users with a good pattern to follow.
